Critical situation in Iran

The foundation is deeply shocked about the actual situation in Iran where hundreds of young people are killed by the police force while many others are brought to death by the authorities of Iran.

The foundation expresses her indignation.

Turkey 2022

Trial observation in the Silivri prison near Istanbul. Attached you find a French report about the final trial days and the verdict of the CHD trial in which many Turkish human rights lawyers were persecuted and sentenced to punishment of maximum 18 years prison. Symone Gaasbeek-Wielinga and Hans Gaasbeek were present on behalf of the foundation the Day of the Endangered Lawyer and gave out a press message in Dutch, after which the information of the international observation group and the sentences are attached.

United Nations recognition

The foundation still seeks for recognition of the Day of the Endangered Lawyer by the United Nations. In the last years different UN rapporteurs took part in the manifestations on the Day.
