On the initiative and with the support of the Foundation, an international  fact-finding mission took place in the Philippines in June 2024 aimed at investigating whether cases in which lawyers have been murdered and/or threatened are adequately investigated and tried by the government The report of this  committee of inquiry will be presented at a press conference in Nieuwspoort, The Hague, on June 4, 2025 at 15:00.

International legal and human rights community condemns moves to undermine the independence of lawyers and the rule of law

The escalating attacks by Turkish authorities on the Istanbul Bar Association, its leadership, and members of the legal profession are an affront to the independence of the legal profession and the rule of law, an international coalition of lawyers, bar associations and human rights organizations warned today.
